Has it really been 13 years since we first experienced the raucous punk pummelage of OFF! at Neumo's in Seattle?
According to our blog, we were initially treated to the bombastic, egg-cracking tunes of Keith Morris (vox), Dimitri Coats (guitar), Steven McDonald (bass) and Mario Rubalcaba (drums) on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. We witnessed the stellar foursome copious more times over the years in Texas, California and Seattle... and now the road for OFF! has come to a denouement.
According to the band's socials, its trio of farewell gigs are on the horizon this July 18 in Chicago (w/Shellac), July 20 in New York City (w/Fucked Up) and July 26 in Los Angeles (w/Surfbort). The final gatherings will celebrate the theatrical release of the band's film "Free LSD," which will occur on July 17 in Chicago, July 19 in NYC and Aug. 2 in LA, with all showings accompanied by Q&A's.
The current OFF! lineup includes Morris, Coats, Rubalcaba and bassist Autry Fulbright II. Justin Brown was the band's drummer for two years before Rubalcaba rejoined in 2023.
